My First Trip to LA

Posted by pandatr0nics on 07/11/2014

It’s been a while since I’ve made a blog post, but I felt there is a lot I want to say and a Facebook post is too small to do so.  I attended Anime Expo this year and while I’ll get to the actual expo I’d like to share the entire experience from planning to coming home. It might be long and maybe uninteresting, but it was important for me.I won’t put the names of the people, but they know who they are and how this all happened.  I may get a little emotional, but I will start it off after the jump. 2012 in review

Posted by pandatr0nics on 12/31/2012

The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2012 annual report for this blog.

Here’s an excerpt:

The new Boeing 787 Dreamliner can carry about 250 passengers. This blog was viewed about 1,500 times in 2012. If it were a Dreamliner, it would take about 6 trips to carry that many people.

An eventful year

Posted by pandatr0nics on 11/29/2012

It’s almost the end of the year already and I really can’t believe how fast it’s come and gone !  Well almost gone … the year is not quite over yet and there are still many promising encounters to be had, but for me it’s been wonderful, eventful journey through 2012 and I want to share in greater words than 150 characters :P  These are just my thoughts, my stories of how my year has been thus far and with my lack of keeping up with posting on this blog I hope that this will fill in the gaps.

A thank you…

Posted by pandatr0nics on 04/24/2012

Hello everyone!

Today is April 24th, the day before my birthday!  I will try not to babble!  I am writing in today to give due thanks to all my wonderful friends both new and old  for supporting me these last 3 years.  It wasn’t and still isn’t easy to communicate as well as we all had hoped ^^;  I’ll keep doing my best with all of you, but I’ve been pretty happy lately getting to go out more with friends and find things I am interested in doing.

One of the most is being welcomed back to the fighting game scene in Toronto and while I know i’m personally not as good as  I used to be, it’s nice to come back and meet so many great new friends. TTT_RXS (Vince)  has really made this deaf gamer feel welcome along with Neorussell and the community over at A&C World.  I wasn’t sure how well I’d fit in with a new crowd, but it seems most people don’t really mind it.  I will continue to rebuild my skills in fighting games though it’s quite difficult ^^; i used to do it using the sounds and voices, I guess now i need to learn how to read the frames ^^; I’ll get better!

Thank you all for your support really !  If you want check out the TorontoTopTiers Website for more info on events in Toronto and also A&C Games / World .

A small glimpse

Posted by pandatr0nics on 04/12/2012

Last night  I attended the Skullgirls launch party in Toronto put on by my good friends at A&C World and Toronto Top Tiers.

I had a great time hanging out with everyone, so I took a short video on my phone of the Scene in Toronto.  Now this isn’t the entire community here, but we had a good turnout last night and I thought I would share the moment. I apologize the the shoddy cam LOL!!! I’ll get better I promise!

Haphazard thoughts for the future

Posted by pandatr0nics on 03/15/2012

While time is rolling on quickly it’s almost my birthday all over again! I realize I will be 28 this year and I don’t really know what I want to do. That sounds pretty lame right ? right?!  I thought about many things 3 years prior, but life threw me that curve ball and I’m lost again, but not entirely without a small prospect.  Looking at everything the only skills I have are playing games and a little bit of planning so I thought about it what to do with such seemingly useless skills to any adult outside our generation and it occurred to me that maybe it’s not so useless because there were definitely adults that loved gaming back when i was little too!

Panda where are you going with this? you’re probably asking right?  Well I noticed sometime after leaving high school that those noisy, somewhat dark yet still flashy places we used to go to called Arcades have disappeared and it makes me a little sad you know because you will always remember the first time you walked through those doors the sights and sounds of an arcade were truly awe inspiring…at least to a 5-6 year old or however old you were when you first went to an arcade.  I know I was all over the place! I wanted to see what was on all the screens, sit in the chair of Outrun or Space Harrier. Yeah.. you know what i’m talking about! So I been thinking that you know A&C World and Hero’s World are doin good you know having a gaming area and stuff, but the hours dont agree with some schedules.  I thought maybe a project for an arcade in a sense… gaming cafe perhaps o.O  I’m not really sure what to call it because it’s really just a thought a project in its very infantile stages.

Gaming has really helped me a lot over the years and more so these last few years  as anyone who reads this knows I’d lost my hearing, but also now have an implant for hearing and that itself troubles me a little when job searching.  I was thinking having this sure it’s a job, but it would one I would enjoy having all sorts of people walk in both new and old.  Our FGC also needs more places to shine more places to meet, train, battle, and just have a good time.  I also thought this place should be able to live stream gameplay whether it’s a fighter or tetris. While I know not much about organizing a tournament, nor do I know about managing a business… I am willing to learn or perhaps this is just a wild fantasy and that panda talks to himself too much >.> I do … I sometimes get answers too!  Well in any case, my friends and followers who read this please let me know your thoughts on this you know how to reach me !

Thanks for listening to me babble as always!
