blog needs design

Posted by pandatr0nics on 05/02/2009

Hello friends!

I noticed that I’m not quite happy with my layout, but really I don’t understand CSS or HTML other than simple things like insert images.  I was really just thinking to myself, as I have changed the theme at least 4 or 5 times now and still can’t find one I would like.  Does this happen to any of you? I also recently asked a good friend to help me design a logo/site character for Pandatronics.  I’m really hoping that it turns out well.

Aside from layout issues, I’ve been slowly trying to learn guitar and decided i should buy a practice amp.  I believe it’s a good idea so that I could hear what I’m learning and I’ve found a nice little one that I shall keep my eye on.  Do any of you ever feel like learning an instrument?

I have good news on my hearing issue! I go back to see the hearing specialist on May 13th! Both myself and ms. pandatronics are happy about this.  I hope there is more good news to come ^^;

    I was under the impression that the hosted and unpaid version of WordPress is a bit inflexible when it comes to editing and creating your own themes. Did you buy the add-on for custom CSS?

    It took me awhile to find a theme I liked, since WordPress’s default column width was less than what I had on Live Spaces. This made importing my old entries in a bit difficult, as they were all written for a wider column format. Ultimately, I went with a flexible width theme to get around it, though that has presented some challenges when posting entries that include photos.

      ^^; I’m on the unpaid so like you I’m in the can’t find a theme to fit boat. I keep trying out each of them and somehow I just can’t seem to find one that fits.

      Though I’ll likely just choose one like yours as I also plan to have a custom header when the design for it pops into my head ^^;

        The one I’m using now is called Andreas09. I think the only customizable part of it is the color of the header. I’d tried a couple of the other flexible width layouts, but settled with that one because I liked the minimal design.
